1963 Bambi Pickup Sporty, PREMIUM restoration NEW!

Spare Parts Collections is very proud to announce the second Bambi Sporty we have restored and we are now offering for sale.

This Bambi, was restored by one of our associate companies in Argentina, member of the SPC Group (the same people who restored the first unit we sold before). As with our previous Bambi, this car was restored meeting the highest quality standards (PREMIUM restoration).

The very few last units available were all purchased by our associates with the intention to restore them in series to make them purposely identical in every aspect making them exactly as when they originally left the factory
(and even better).

On the contrary to the pictures taken from the previous Bambi, which were studio pictures, the ones taken from this one are not professional pictures. However, they still show how impeccably this new Bambi was restored.

If you want to see the professional pictures taken from the identical Bambi we previously sold as a reference of the excellent type of work done on this one, we invite to visit THIS LINK.

A brief history:

The Bambi was a micro car entirely manufactured in Argentina during the sixties, under the license of the German company Fuldamobil. Also manufactured in other countries (Greece, Sweden, United Kingdom) this is the Argentinean version of the Fuldamobil S-7. It was manufactured by the company 'Fábrica de Automóviles Utilitarios S.A.I.C.' starting its production on May, 1960.
The pickup version of the Bambi was exclusively manufactured for the Argentinean market. Less than 500 units of the Bambi were ever made and only 20 units of the Bambi pickup version. Only a few units of this rare model have survived up to present days.

This particular exemplar was restored entirely by the same people that once worked on the S.A.I.C. factory, back in the sixties. Indeed, they have done a terrific work which resulted in this gorgeous and awesome little beauty.

Indeed a must-have item for micro-cars collectors.

OTHER GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

Brief technical summary:

Its robbust chassis is made of rectangular steel pipes and its single block plastic body (ployester resine) is reinforced with high resistance glass fiber material.

Powered by an air cooled, two stroke, one cylinder, 191cc Sachs engine (LRD 200), and a Bing carburetor (1-24-88) it developed 10,5 HP @ 5.250 rpm.

The carburetor was equipped with a special device (Constarter) for cold engine startup and the car had an electric start system (Dynastart).

It has an oil bath transmission and a 4 lineal velocities gear box. For the reverse drive the engine must be stopped and started in reverse turn (therefore having 4 velocities in reverse too!).

With an empty weight of 310 Kg (approx. 690 pounds) it could reach a maximum velocity of 90 Km per hour (55 mph). With a gas consumption of only 4,5 liters / 100 Km (around 60 miles per gallon) it has an autonomy range of 370 Km (232 miles) with a full gas tank (17 liters capacity). It can carry a functional weight of 300 Kg (near 670 pounds).
